Phillip
W. Allen
Senior Consultant
Currently based in Palm Springs, California Philip Allen is
a former CFO of the Global Networks Solutions Division of L3
Communications Corporation in Bristol, Pennsylvania. The GNS
Division provides international commercial telecom equipment
and security products as well as internal R&D for other
L3 Divisions.
Previously, Mr. Allen was President of Merchants Despatch Transportation
Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Conrail, Inc. in Plymouth
Meeting, Pennsylvania. MDT provided perishable transportation,
logistics, transfer facilities and railcar leasing services.
Prior to the Presidency, Mr. Allen was MDT’s VP Finance
and Administration, including IT and HR responsibilities.
Mr. Allen started his career as an auditor for Conrail, Inc.
and predecessor companies that included forensic audits.
Mr.
Allen holds a BS in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University
and is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) as well as several
professional financial and managerial related courses at the
Wharton School of Business (University of Pennsylvania), Temple
University, and Penn State. He has also served on local governmental
economic and community development groups.
